I'm kind of Painter fan after watching that. He is not a d#ck like Patino. Very classy.

Yeah, I think one thing he said especially stood out to me. “They (ISU) embraced the physicality of the game.” My favorite thing about our team is how we don’t ***** about fouls either way. Purdue is one of those teams that is constantly ********, or at least they did today. I got fouled, I didn’t foul, etc. don’t complain, adapt.

I am less sure about him having a plan for his team to play better, Painter has some Prohm in him. But those two frankensteins will win them a lot of conference games.

They normally shoot the ball better than they did today, but they still weren't going to win.

Basically say that kid is NBA talent

What I heard is that Painter desperately wants Toure to declare for the draft so he never has to play against him again

You can tell why he's an outstanding coach. Complimentary, calm, but didn't pull any punches. They have a damn good team even though we made them look bad today.

Yeah, had to keep referring to Kaufman-Renn as "Whiny".

He was good on "Law and Order", though.

Yeah, I told my wife when we started building the lead in the second, we need to get ahead by 20. If we can get to that, something clicks in the mind and you doubt any comeback and ratchet down.

I have a love/hate relationship with Toupee Bill, hate playing his teams but actually like the guy other than that, he's always fairly evaluated ISU when asked. He is another sharp BB mind. Now Tang on the other hand......................

Painter is one of those guys you can cheer for and would like to see win a championship. Not sleazy like bigger name coaches Pitino or Calipari. He is what he is, and is willing to give credit to the other team when they have earned it.

NOBODY could care less about recruiting rankings than MP- he is all about intangibles and culture stuff. he is refreshing to listen to. Great stuff like this from him all over X all the time. Modern day version of Keady- toughness and making your teammates better mindset.

TJ keeps talking about the need to "impose our will" in games. This game was a classic example. We thoroughly imposed our will on Purdue in front of their own fans and it broke them.

I love these clips of these guys picking the specific game apart but also just philosophizing about the game of basketball in general. Self does it too.

The stuff about ISU was great but the last bit when he's talking about where his team is, how to keep the head up if you miss good shots, and the long haul of a season is good too.

Also of note: I think TJ seems really good at keeping a good rapport with other coaches in enjoying the challenge of facing them but respecting them a bunch.
