Yes we are a top 25 program start acting like it and quit yipping about meaningless crap like entrance songs, PA announcers, what idiot reporters write to fill their rag, or what color uniforms the team wears.
Speaking of the PA guy. Did anyone hear all the catch phases he made during the Kansas game?
I remember him saying “got tattooed by Joel Lanning” and my favorite “got campaniled” whatever that means.

Vs Iowa he said something along the lines of "hit while out of bounds" implying to the refs it was a late hit. I've heard a few other clever digs by him. My buddy who does PA announcing for high school football loves these type of digs.
Campaniling:
A student officially becomes an Iowa Stater when he or she is kissed under the campanile at the stroke of midnight. During homecoming hundreds of students gather for mass campaniling. Couples kiss, the band plays, and fireworks go off at the stroke of midnight.
So in football: the player got kissed, saw fireworks, heard the band play and became an Iowa Stater? ie. got campaniled.
I've noticed he does that a lot in games where we have the game well in hand. Keeps the crowd into it and paying attention.
I just want him to scream 'We Got 'Em!'
I really like him to be honest. Like others have said he throws in some pretty good catch phrases which I enjoy
Life's too short to carry this much negativity.
On another note...
I still miss the PA guy from the late 70s and early 80s, when I first started going to games. Had a great, friendly sounding voice.
As good as Gary Wade is for Hilton, he just didn't fit for football.
Current guy is just ok in my book.
