Over/under for wins this year?

I thought I read 5 non-con games, but cyclones.com only showed 3.
We have 7 non-conference games. (Iowa isn't scheduled but we are playing them)

Arkansas PB
South Dakota State
Depaul
@ Iowa
Jackson State
Chicago State
@ Mississippi State

I've got 2 O/Us for this year.

Games won, I'd put at around 9.

Number of excuses for our struggles? I'd put the O/U at around 14,394.

.500 at best.
But at least we'll get some offseason "excitement" speculating which NBA team will poach our best talent.

I'm convinced the number of wins will be underwhelming. The bigger question for me is, which one of those non-con teams gives un another embarrassing home loss?

8 IMO

We are upgraded talent wise but if I'm rating us in talent and coaching, talent we are probably at best 6th, probably more like 7/8 with OU. Coaching is probably more like 8/9. That says more about the players and coaches in our league than our squad. We'll be improved but it may not matter with the schedule. January could be as ugly around here as its ever been. We could realistically only win a game or two in the big 12 before Feb.

I think we go 4-6 in conference in the month of January. 6-6 overall in that month.

Win:
vs. K-State
vs. Jackson State
vs. Chicago State
@ K-State
vs. Texas
vs. Oklahoma State

Loss:
@ WVU
vs. Baylor
@ Texas
vs. TTU
@ KU
@ TTU

I think Iowa State will be a much better overall team but the record might not show that because the Big 12 is going to be an absolute grind. I'll say 12 or 13 wins with a few of those being some fun upsets.

Looking at the predictive folks out there, here's what they think.

Kenpom says: 11-13
Bart Torvik says: 9-15
TeamRankings says: 13-11
