Outlook for next year?

Why KSU hurts so bad... Chances to win 8 reg season games in ISU history = 3? Will ISU be solid next year? Absolutely. Right back to seven, eight win territory? Who the hell can say that confidently?!?

All ISU fans need to read Tom Shatel's piece in the OWH....and pray that Scott Frost takes the Nebraska job....or it might just be 1978 when our ad flew to columbus ohio to help earle bruce get his new job at Ohio State.....

Unless Warren Buffet drives to Ames willing to share a nice portion of his portfolio, I don’t see Campbell going to the bugeaters.

One the best things about "the process" that Matt Campbell is establishing is that these guys will believe that they're going to win. He has already turned the culture of this program on its head and made it his own. I'm not looking ahead to next season yet, as I'm not ready to be done watching this group yet. These seniors have written their names on the history of this program.

Continued offensive line development equals program development. It will be interesting to see who emerges in the offseason. Hopefully there are enough big bodies to go two deep. The defensive line came together very nicely this year (probably a year ahead of schedule). We'll miss Trent and Waggoner but hopefully other guys are ready to step in. On the back end, we will be breaking in new safeties. That will make early games interesting.

While our new coach has made it fun to be a Cyclone again, we're still facing the lousy reffing.
Some enterprising student that needs a few bucks should market nut cups with the ISU logo, I'd buy one for me and the girlfriend. Heck, I'd get one for the dog.

We return some great talent especially at the skill positions but for me it all comes down to the OL. If we can run the ball consistently the rest should be in place for at least 8 or 9 regular season wins. If we continue to struggle up front I see us sweating out games and next season being pretty similar to this one. Manning needs to live up to his rep as an OL guru if we're going to take another big step.
