I think Johnny's total income was around $110,000 to $120,000. The $45 was the base and then you add tv, radio, camps etc.Enjoyed the Fanatic information on Otz's contract. Shoot, I remember when Johnny Orr came to Iowa State for $45,000 and thought he broke the bank. Both coaches were/are good fits, I believe.

Agree.Even on high end, Cyched calculator only takes Johnny's salary to just under $400,000 in today's money.
I agree with you. Hopefully, there is a serious bump a year from now because of positive play this year.Otz’s contract is embarrassingly low. 25% lower than anyone else in the Big 12. Glad we could get him for that but this lowballing is a cheap strategy in my opinion. But if he succeeds, Pollard has proven he’ll get them more in line with Big 12 averages.
JP can only work with the hand he is dealt and does a hell of job. ISU just doesn't have enough big time donors.Otz’s contract is embarrassingly low. 25% lower than anyone else in the Big 12. I’m ok with it. Put up or shut up. Jamie will pay him if he wins, history has shown that he will.Otz’s contract is embarrassingly low. 25% lower than anyone else in the Big 12. He's done that with MC, SP and Fred. JP does a hell of job for our small athletic budget.I’m ok with it. Put up or shut up. Jamie will pay him if he wins, history has shown that he will.

If Otz agreed to it, why are people B’ing that we are going cheap. Apparently TJ was satisfied with it or he would be at a different school. Do you also complain that your ribeye only cost 30 bucks at a restaurant and and tell them to charge you 50 for it?
43 year old with a sketchy resume making 7 figures? Great contract for both parties. Just hope Pollard doesn’t make the same mistake he did with Prohm with a premature extension.
The thing is that people (not fans) were still complaining about him being paid to much.Otz’s contract is embarrassingly low. 25% lower than anyone else in the Big 12.
