Definitely excited for the season to start. I don’t see how anyone can say they aren’t at all hyped about seeing what the players like Becht, Higgins, Noel, Brahmer, and Sama can do this year with the way they played the last half of the season. “2021 waa, waa, waa”. Give it a rest, whiners. What about 2020 coming off a 2019 7-6 season with a ton of returning talent? This year might be more like that.

How dare you try to be positive in the month leading up to the season on a website dedicated to a sports team?!!!!
For the record, I think this team has a great shot at getting 9-10 wins.

...wasn't this what we said we wanted ~10 years ago? Consistently going to bowl games, with the occasional star-aligning year where we compete for conference championships?

1) Goals can and should evolve as situations change. We've obviously made huge strides since the Rhoads era, but I don't think there's anything wrong with hoping we can take another step in the right direction, especially now that we're in a conference without any heavyweights to contend with.
2) It's ok to be realistic and/or critical of the teams we cheer for. That doesn't mean supporting them less or being a bad fan.
3) I don't even see much negativity in this thread. It's about 70% making fun of typical training camp-isms (which is both entertaining and fair, but a bit played out), 20% hype/optimism, and 10% feeling kind of meh about 2020 being flukey.
I'd rather have 5 pro prospects and risk injury than be two deep in below average output
At the end of the day, I think our system is just VERY unfriendly to offensive lineman. Unless that changes with Mouser comin on board, we should expect 4 yards/carry and rely on Rocco to cook and win games...
I'm way more excited about seeing improvement on the defensive line... That unit has been awesome since CMC got here, but last year was a BIG step back. Guys like Tyler Onyedim (4th year), Ikenna Ezeogu (3rd), and Dom Orange (3rd) could really take the next step and provide us with a real pass rush.
That to me is just as important as hoping for meaningful change to a CMC offensive line this late into his tenure.

Campbell is a coach who provides consistent results. Doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a young or veteran team, he will win you 7-8 games. Guessing we win 8 total this year. Losses to Iowa, Utah, and Kansas highly likely. Should have a shot at winning most of the rest.
Our OL have been unathletic when compared to top OLs in the game. Hufford is the only one who really looks the part. And the newcomer Travis. Otherwise, we usually see awkwardly built guys who don't move very well.
