One-Hit Wonders

Sponge - Plowed

They also had Molly but not nearly as popular as Plowed. And then we never hear from them again.

Tracy Bonham - Mother Mother

My girlfriend in high school used to go all ape **** when this song came on. It was scary and sexy all at the same time. She was the definition of family issues and this song struck a chord with her.

Cardigans - Lovefool

I may have had an insane crush on the lead singer of the Cardigans. Her and 90's Gwen Stefani were my dream girls.

That's why you date girls with issues, not marry them. Sometimes the ones with issues can be fun.

Deadeye **** - New Age Girl

I actually bought this album and liked some of the other songs on it.

I have some clue. I got kinda serious with a girl with lots of issues while I was in college. Didn't work out and in hindsight, thank goodness. Was fun early on though.

I was with the crazy girl for two years, she was HOT!!! and she was also CRAZY!!!. The summer after I graduated high school my dad hands me a beer and said lets go talk on the porch. Since I was 18 and he gave me a beer I knew it was important. His advice to me was this.

"We all know she is a very pretty and attractive girl and I'm sure she lets you do whatever you want to her and judging by her looks and the way she dresses she is probably pretty good at things back to you. Just remember that no matter how fun and good things feel and look now they don't always stay that way and you could end up with someone who is just fat and crazy. Is that something you want for the rest of your life?"

My response to him was "i know dad that's why I'm breaking up with her right before I report to football camp so it will be really hard for her to stalk me"

He then replied "That's my boy, good luck with that"

I am now friends with her on facebook and she is just as my dad said she would be. Divorced twice at 33 and no longer attractive but still appears just as crazy. Thank god I listened to the big head instead of the little one.

90's FOREVER!

This band is an alternative mainstay, but only one big "hit"

The Flaming Lips - She Don't Use Jelly

OK found some more I forgot about while browsing through you tube.

Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside a Phone Booth

Joan Osborne - One of us

Whenever I hear this, I think of that Merrill Bainbridge (sp?) and "Mouth." I heard that at the dentist once, and it kind of grossed me out.

Ooh, Deep Blue Something, "Breakfast at Tiffany's." (That was them, right? I didn't double-check.)

Vehicle - Ides of March (probably mentioned - sorry if I missed it)

A pep band favorite...

What about that bad from Liverpool back in the 60's. Talk about One Hit Wonders, 2 of them are not even living now
