On That Note: Which Way You Going, Billy?

Got married in Sedona

I have stood on a corner in Winslow Arizona

I also stood on a corner in Winslow Arizona in summer of 76. Also by the sign for the city to have my brother take my picture. I think now there's and actual corner there commemorating this song and it's lyrics.

Edit: Upon further reflection it was 83, not the trip in 76.

Please include your personal memories with your song posts. A gentle request - to make this different from a previous OTN where it was just random geographic places in a song.

These are not random, they are where we've been.

Dammit, MeanDean, don't be changing ***** in the middle of a *****.

I've been to London too.

You may recognize this song as the theme to Austin City Limits.
"I'm goin' home to the Armadill(a)"

I know this is about Lodi California. Which I've never actually been to. But I have been to Lodi WI, so I'm counting it. (The song never specifically SAYS it's about the one in California, so I'm giving myself a pass.) Plus, it's a great song.

Lodi WI is a place I cut my teeth trout fishing.

Another work trip. About 2006. We were going to a base in Mississippi but we stayed in N.O. for a night near the airport. Granted, I didn't get to see much of the city itself, but what I saw did not impress. Your mileage may vary.

This reminds me when I was in the game for ten years makin rap tunes.

Ever since honeys was wearin sassoon.

But I always packed a vest for my Jimmy in the city of sex.

It was an amazing time.

One of the worst hangovers in my life was the Liberty Bowl vs Tulsa. Morning of the parade.

Judy Collins' rendition of an Ian Tyson song, with reference to Southern Colorado. I've been camping and backpacking there and met people who lived there.

@pourcyne Your quite the world traveler. Only out of country I've been is Mexico and I was barely there as I was in Mission Texas where my grandparents would winter which right next to Mexico border.

I grew up on a dairy farm. In 40 years, my parents took ONE overnight vacation.

Caught the bug early, and have never looked back. I don't regret a minute of it.
