SRV in 87 is the jewel in the crown and it ain't even close.
Nahhhhhh,.....my Slipknot in '19 tops all!!!!!!!!

My love of SRV notwithstanding. One of the few I regret never seeing live. "Voodoo Chile" by SRV and Double Trouble in person would have melted more of my mind.

I honestly don't know one thing about Slipknot, but I would be pretty surprised if 19 was their prime.

In 87, SRV was hittin on all cylinders. That's prime time Double Trouble.

300+M views for those 2 videos, just some boys from DM. The show was a homecoming coronation. Their prime is up to their fans,

Looking to release a new album this year, but, if you pay attention to this stuff, the music world has radically changed. Try and buy a newly released CD at a record store. Good luck.

SRV is with a lot of fast burning stars who, circumstances differing, never got the opportunity to release new music 20+ years down the road. He would be 68 this October.

You're comparing Slipknot to SRV? That's blasphemy.

I guess I will go with 2 of the most recent ones I have been to there. Hootie and the Blowfish with Barenaked Ladies was a good concert in 2019

Alabama in 2017 was one I was not going to miss because I was still kicking myself for not going to their "farewell" tour that came through Ames in the mid 2000's. May be one of the last years Jeff Cook was on stage regularly with them as his Parkinson's is really starting to get bad lately and from what I can tell he rarely comes on stage with them anymore. Probably one of my favorite songs of theirs but with a twist with Jason Aldean performing with them

Got a few more ones I may share this afternoon that stick out to me too
