On That Note - Pomp and Circumstance

This week with college graduations already done and high school ones to come in following weeks that is this week's topic. We are looking for songs that could fit as graduation songs.

Our graduation class (Class of 99 representing) had this as our song

This was a hit the year I graduated HS. Back there a long ways into the past.

My cousin graduated the same year as I. This was their class song played at their graduation.

Oddly, I didn’t come up with many graduation-specific examples from my era. Perhaps I wasn’t All There.

From some reason, these came to me first




My interest in Mayer didn’t last long, but I like this one, and it’s fitting.

I also remember a columnist writing a scathing review of a class that chose this "Wasted On the Way" as their graduation song.. In the classical case of not listening to the actual song - the idiot assumed the song was about actually getting wasted. Sigh...

LOL. I used to think it was "Coat of Chrome."

I'll be damned if I can remember mine but this was my sisters two years later. Was used to accompany a really great slide show of candid shots of the class over their time in HS. I was kinda into that sort of thing back then and was impressed enough to still remember it.
