On That Note - In My Room

Feeling that feeling again
I'm playing a game I can't win
Love's knocking on the door
Of my heart once more
Think I'll let her in
Before I begin

I think I got the rules straight now, here's a cute song, Eddie Hodges and his I'm Gonna knock On Your Door:

and Aerosmith's Ragdoll with the lyrics "...so fine they never see you leaving by the back door...":

I was wondering if I might have known your Dad when it hit me, that when I spent six years of weekends at Camp Dodge, the only music on the radio was 60's music because it was the 60's. I think we didn't meet which is a shame because I think your Dad had a good taste for music.

My dad worked full time at Camp Dodge from I think the Mid 70s to 1998 when he retired. He was a Sergeant First Class and worked at a supply warehouse at Camp Dodge.
He had been in the air force before that and I think he had 39 years in the military total when he retired. He worked at a delivery company for a short while and has driven a school bus for quite some time now.

He's one of the nicest guys ever and he'll talk your ear off if you let him. Everybody liked/likes my dad.

I know already mentioned (?) but what's this thread without "In My Room", Beach Boys? Even though 'room' doesn't count, and it doesn't have any of the 5 words, it is 'in my room', so..
(better record track)
(live performance, film of the Boys)

[Verse 2]
And baby, do everything your heart desires
Remember, I'll always be around
And I know, I know
Like I told you so many times before
You're going to come back, baby
Because I know
You're going to come back knocking
Yeah, knocking right on my door
