On That Note - H Two Oh!

Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime

Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground

Water dissolving and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Under the water, carry the water
Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean!
Water dissolving and water removing

Some variety:

"The Roc Boys in the building tonight
Look at how I'm chilling, I'm killing this ice"

"Strayed above the highway aisle
Jagged vacance, thick with ice
And I could see for miles, miles, miles"

"Where is my mind
Way out in the water
See it swimmin'"

Have to post these two together, alternatives of the same song title--- one from “Up On The Sun” (1985) and the other from 1986 EP “Out My Way.”

Swimming Ground: “A little water would do us good”

Not Swimming Ground: “Got lost on the water” … “Works about as well as water in your hand … “You lay out in the water”…. “Goes moving through the water”

I was going to toss in another from the Meat Puppets, a totally under rated band

It's not like years ago
the fear of getting caught
of recklessness and water

I love this song - and what's weird is that they have so many songs about water, but some of the other best ones (So. Central Rain and 7 Chinese Bros.) talk around it but never actually say the word.
