Yep...that is always a good thing! Although with this winter we have had...doesn't it feel like it should be opening day by now?

Nobody can really battle the Pirates for last place. I think they're naming a trophy for that position after the Pirates.
I'm not impressed with the moves the Cubs have made this offseason. If they were serious about winning they would have made some bigger moves than basically replacing Harden and Bradley with Silva and Byrd and resigning Grabow. Cardinals are going to run away with the division again. If they miss the playoffs again Cubs should blow up this team, replace Lou with Ryno and try to build up some young talent by trading away Z, A-Ram, Lee, and whoever else could bring back some decent talent.
Everyone thought the Cubs would win the division last year. It's a long season and lots of things can happen. The Cardinals are one Pujols injury away from being a 3rd place team (at best).
