Oklahoma Sucking

Funny considering they didn't even make the Big 12 championship game last year. Their downward trajectory started when Riley got there.

FIFY.

They had good records but were the epitome of why the Big 12 got tagged for the 'no defense' narrative.

I could see them making a run at Lane Kiffin when they fire the coach. The SEC thing to do is get desperate and hire a sketchy fella. See Auburn for an example

IMO, teams like Iowa State can sell culture and playing teams we can win against. who wants to play in weak divisions in the BIG and SEC. they will always have their Michigans, Ohio States, Penn States in the BIG. the SEC will have their Alabamas, Georgias and LSU's. The rest are fighting for scraps against these established teams. Texas will fall into mediocrity just like Oklahoma, USC and Nebraska.

I put it in the same way Day has operated at tOSU. Still really good but vulnerable.

And Meyer had some weird losses at OSU like how Stoops did.
I think the days of complete domination are gone. Teams can pay for players legally and the transfer portal has given players empowerment to spread talent more evenly. Should Burrow have sat the bench at Ohio State? **** no. His path shows every reason you should go your own way.

Is Rhule a good coach though? He had a decent year at Baylor. Bad in the pros, so far mid at Nebby.

Imo getting Baylor back to decent after that mess is commendable.

But a terrible record vs. ranked teams still means there's a ceiling there.

I think he benefited from the recruits from the previous regime.

I'd be curious to see how he would have done. I was thinking he was there through 2021 but left after 2019. Then Aranda started off great but obviously is not going to be around much longer.

Has not seemed to have hurt Oregon moving the B10, USC and Texas will be fine, they have money to spend on players and great recruiting area to draw from. Nebraska was going downhill once they got rid of the prop. 48 athletes and then moved away from their Texas recruiting area. OU is going to be in trouble, they cannot out athlete teams like they could in the B12, and they do not have much of a coach. Better get used to winning 7 or 8 games a year.
