NFL: Offseason Thread

He'll make some good money on the open market. He had too many drops early in his career but was coming around finally at the end of last season.

It will be interesting to see who picks him up.

Yeah, I think he immediately becomes the best free agent TE out there. Not that there's much to pick from - it's him, Eifert, or Sefarian Jenkins. I can't envision anyone giving Eifert much more than a short term incentive based deal with his injury history. Super talented but the guy cannot stay on the field.

Packers wanted him to sign at league minimum. Good for Jordy. Who knows how much he has left in the tank, though?

He might do OK opposite Amari Cooper. I just don't know. He's what, 32 or 33? Plus I have some serious doubts about Jon Gruden in Oakland. Would it be that surprising if it turns out that the game passed him by in the last decade?

preaching to the choir. I think Jon Gruden is tremendously overrated. He's got this reputation as a Quarterback guru, but a good portion of his tenure as a head coach was defined by his inability to find a good one.

I think if they can keep Carr healthy and get a reliable running game(sorry Beastmode) then they will contend in the AFC West. That division is wide open and I don't see Denver, San Diego or KC coaching staffs standing out above the rest.

I like LA a lot (I think I might have referred to them as San Diego the other day...hard to get used to it). Solid QB situation, good running game, playmakers at the skill positions and two guys who can really get after the quarterback. I think they could be really good.

Ugh, it's still doesn't feel right referring to the Chargers as LA. Maybe it's because I'm a Broncos fan, but I just don't think Rivers has it together enough between the ears to lead them to that next level. I know he's matured the longer he's been in the league but for whatever reason, I'm not 100% sold on him being the team leader needed at the QB position.

Sheldon Richardson is visiting the Vikings and is reportedly still in MN. There was another player visiting Minnesota tonight as well but I haven't been able to find out who.

Richardson would be a great replacement for Shariff Floyd.

Latavius Murray has re-signed with Minnesota.

Latavius Murray has restructured his contract with the Vikings ahead of Friday's deadline where $5.15 million of his $6.35 million cap hit would have become guaranteed, sources told ESPN.
