This match has been pretty woof overall, but Miazga mocking Lainez for being short was a lol moment.
Over on my twitter like all the purists were mad about that and so were the Mexican fans.
Miazga was trying to bait him into a red it felt like

watched all 90+ last night. I don't like Will Trapp by himself as a holding, just don't think he has the pace to do it, now, when they went to the 4-4-2 he was much better. Julian Green is quietly becoming a must call in, I hope he has a big year in the 2 and gets moved, maybe in January? Behind Pulisic, Adams might be our best MF RIGHT NOW, let alone when he goes to Bundislega during the next transfer window.
LOVED the Miazga thing. Look, I was a 5'7" winger/striker. I've dealt with the short stuff my entire life/career, and that sh*t was funny. It also, kind of gave us an edge, which this team desperately needs, and hasn't had since Jermaine Jones left and Bradley sucked the life out of everybody. Antonee Robinson got abused by Costa in the Brazil game (lots of people have), but he is your left back going forward. Twellman kept saying it, and he was right, your LB and RB provide width and shape, and if you don't have that you become, 1) predictable, and 2) one dimensional. MIazga/CCV/Brooks are going to be solid through the next cycle. Depending on how they develop, we might be able to see a 3 man back line, which is a great formation if you can get away with it. Team misses Pulisic for the creativity, and a true striker (i don't hate Jozy as much as some, think he is good as a lone striker, with someone pacy running off of him). Also, Steffen is your 1 and it isn't close. Bring Guzan in as a mentor, leader, veteran, but Steffen gets that 1 jersey for the next 4 years.

Pulisic scored two goals last week, one in the CL and one in the Bund. Dortmund's beating the familiar everyone but Pulisic and Kagawa don't know what they're doing drum again.

US Women are currently leading Mexico on FS2 right 4-0.

It's quite a ways away, but CONCACAF announced dates and locations for the 2019 Gold Cup. Good draw for those in Iowa that might want to catch a game.

Today marks 1 year since the failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. A day of complete and total darkness in which the life was sucked out of me.
Where do we stand? No head coach and Michael Bradley is still being called up to friendlies.
