***Official UNI Meltdown Thread***

Yes Sam didn't have a great game but what's a guy to do when after 3 steps with the ball someone is in his face. Both Offensive and Defensive lines were a flat out disgrace.

Someone said it, Richardson cannot run the ball that much, he is taking way too many hits and we are only one game in. Give the ball to the damn running backs and block for them, ****** why is this so hard.

Something feels different about this. There is a finality about it. Like the universe realized except for a few very brief moments, it really is impossible to win at ISU.

In one day I went from cautious optimism about the future, to thinking this whole thing might just blow up for good and send us back to a permanent state of 1985.

Because Messingham would rather run a bubble screen on 2nd and 1 so we can lose 6 yards.

I got through four pages of this thread. I did not get a chance to watch the game (couldn't), but my thought is this:

....Jesus, was it really THAT bad?

Couple of questions.. Where the f was Brun, Jansen Watson (Sam rich on def. got abused)??? Also No sign of Nealy? I love Woody but he's not a D1 RB..

Mess won't use the tight ends, and he won't commit to the run...unless of course it is Sam Richardson running 20 times a game.

IMO, Richardsons first three quarters were the best 3 quarters we've have from a QB the last three years. The fourth quarter he just sucked.

it was a nightmare and that is putting it mildly. Like a gut punch to the program.

You know, I have the same feeling. I am not even panicked, or upset, I just feel like something changed, and not for the better.

Two bad lines and a defense that can't tackle is a recipe for overwhelming failure.

It's just frustrating that this feeling had to come so early in the season. Kills any ability to look forward to any games.

All we hear about is how great the TE are...how the hell would anyone ever know, we never use them!
