***Official Thon Maker Recruitment Thread***

Just in time for a Thanksgiving twitter bomb!

His team is playing in Ames tonight at 7:00pm. Anyone know more details???
Looks like they're playing in Waukee at the Waukee High School.

Does Burton really have an elite handle? Elite athleticism for sure but I'm not sold on the handle part. I think he's more of a SF but there isn't that much difference between SF & SG in our system IMO

Burton does not have an elite handle

I agree, at this point elite seems very overstated. That said, I do see him as a 3 that can play some oversized 2 and some undersized 4. The key will be how well he defends those positions.

I had no idea we were actually going after this guy and just assumed it was a running CF joke. Do we have any real shot at him?

I was at Waukee yesterday and spoke with some of the people associated with The Grind Session and Athletes Institute and they felt ISU had a decent chance at landing him.

He's a lot of fun to watch and will have a great match up today at 1:30. I'm heading back, would be awesome to see lots of Cardinal and gold supporting him!

Hoping Prohm comes down today. Coach Small was there all day yesterday. If ISU is serious about Thon, Prohm will be there today.

Prohm has a connection to Thon prior to becoming HC of ISU, offered him right after, and has been out to watch him a few times. Arizona State and Notre Dame (2 stated official visit planned but not set) are thought to be the favorite. He's been offered by practically every program but seems to be considering only schools that have a connection not just blue blood programs.
I'd say ISU getting an official is an interesting development. I like ISU chances a lot more today then I did on Thursday though I'm not changing my avatar.

Did I miss something?

I don't think there has been anything about an official yet??

Yeah Friday night was just an unofficial. I saw something somewhere that Maker has had to delay taking officials until he takes the SAT
