Can we talk about how terrible the list of cities are this year?

Best to worst in order:

Cleveland
San Antonio
Denver
Seattle
Raleigh
Milwaukee
Indianapolis
Atlanta
Providence
San Francisco
Dayton
Wichita
Lexington
Newark
To be fair, I love Des Moines and I’m sure we all do, but how bummed do you think people are to get a game there only to find out it’s pretty fun? I’m sure a lot of these are like that

Side note - Newark would be pretty far up there as it’s just a short train from NYC. Don’t have to stay in NJ

I never understood complaining about our draw. It's the NCAA tourny, you think it should be a cake walk? You want to make the final 4 you're going to have to beat 2-3 really good teams, no matter your seed, or draw.
Path matters. Look at the Odds to win now vs the odds to win after the bracket is announced.

The odds will change without games being played. Purely path.

Yes, eventually you have to beat good teams, but the longer you can go without playing good teams is certainly beneficial.
You need 6 wins.

Prime example was last year,

Our bracket, The East had 4 of the top 10 KenPom. More games against top opponents.

Path matters.

It was chokeball against Illinois, missing bunnies, missing layups, we will never know how a team firing on all cylinders could have fared against UCONN.
Didn't UConn beat Illinois by 40?

UConn did not have a competitive game all tournament. It was one beat down after another. I think they had 3 players drafted by the NBA last year

I like that Newark and SFO are United hubs. Improves my flight opportunities.

I feel like anyone planning on a location is gambling right now for a team that isn't a 1 or 2 seed.
