This seems like his way of telling ISU they are a 1 seed in classic pollard style.
God I hope they do the cutaway thing where they show the team all sitting togetherWonder if J Tang has the team gathered for the celebration too?![]()
So they beat 2 tournament teams all season? That's a classic NIT resume.
At least Indiana State won 8 more games and is rated higher now on Torvick. It's just the age old question of whether you prefer mid-major teams that won alot of games, or middling teams in Power conferences.
So you're saying there's a chance we can play in omaha on Friday?? Lol.If we are a 1 seed there will be a lot shocked to see us in Omaha. Lot of people don’t seem to grasp location is not dictated by seed.
They've been a bit of a media darling all year. I don't think anyone is going to be upset if they don't make it in. More along the lines of "shucks, I would've liked to have seen them in the tourney"I can't believe how much interest there is on this board about Indiana State. Why the hell do people give a rip if they make it or not? Because they happen to play in a mid major conference that happens to be home to two Iowa teams that we no longer play and who we also don't care about?
My interest in the MVC is a quick "oh, neat" if Drake or UNI make the dance. Beyond that, who gives a damn? Yet I have been watching posters fret in thread after thead for a month about the fate of Indiana State. I don't get it.
Iowa State will be either a #1 or #2 in Omaha, so while it is theoretically possible for an #8/#9 seed to have *a* home game in Omaha it is impossible for such a seed to have *two* home games.Jerry Palm has Iowa State as the 1 seed, however, has Nebraska as the 9 seed in Omaha. There is no way you can have a 9 seed playing a home game in Omaha?

Also, it will make next year’s #1 seed seem more important.National Championship seasons are rare, so why not hope for the most dazzling championship possible?
A #2 seed in the East facing UConn in Boston seems like the dream scenario.
It’d be the best win, it avenges 2014, and hopefully rinses away some of the lingering resentment about being ****** over in 2000.
It's a debate every year. Nobody here loves Indiana State but it's a legit topic this time over year. A majority of power 6 conference teams except maybe DePaul and Louisville would win 30 games with the same schedule. It still doesn't mean they should be left out.I don't care if Indiana State gets in or not. I just don't think they are more deserving than Oklahoma. Oklahoma would have over 30 wins with Indiana State's schedule. Indiana State would be Central Florida at best with a Big 12 schedule. Probably more like West Virginia or Okie State.

Respectfully disagree. If Marquette and Tennessee are ahead of us I don’t think we get Midwest.I predict the top 8 are as follows:
Uconn
Purdue
Houston
UNC
Tennessee
Marquette
Iowa St
Arizona
So the Regions will be this:
East - UConn and Arizona
Midwest - Purdue and ISU
South - Houston and Marquette
West - UNC and Tennessee
