***OFFICIAL SELECTION SUNDAY THREAD***

Dont care if we 2 or 3 - i just dont want to be in the south with Florida. I think they would be the 1 seed we would not match up well against. Would love to be in Wichitas bracket - not scared of the 34-0,.....If Villanova or Michigan are the other #1 - then i would like to be in that bracket as well.

This will be my 32nd consecutive year watching the selection show live. When my wife and I were dating, she wanted to go out and eat on Selection Sunday. I said we could, but we had to be back by 5:30 (it was only 30 minutes back then). She didn't understand why. She understands now.

What do you guys think it will mean to our seeding if both Duke and Michigan loses? Will it help or hurt us? People seem to think having Michigan as a #1 might make us look good since we beat them. Only problem is that we have gotten absolutely NO credit for that win since mid-December.

I'm hoping for a 2 seed, but think we will end up with a 3. I think it all depends on whether Kansas gets a 2 or not. If they get a 2 we'll get a 3, and vice versa.

You have to remember that you are getting all of your information from the MEDIA. They don't pick the field. The selection committee picks it. There are always "surprises" when the field is announced and it is because the media has drilled it into our minds what each team should be seeded.

Based on RPI, SOS, etc etc.... fairly obvious we should be a #2.

So I fully expect we will be a #3.

I have followed ISU athletics too long, esp where it relates to the NCAA making decisions. A bigger "brand" will get the goldmine, and ISU will get the shaft. ABC/ESPN isn't the only one who protects their properties...

That said.... I hold out hope that the NCAA thinks CFH is Dreamy enough to become one of those protected properties. And we have other good "stories" - Melvin academic AA, Kane's dad, Johnny's passing... I think those kinds of things matter in the smoke-filled room of the NCAA.

They were taking yesterday about how the committee has been discussing the embiid injury and they are basing their seed on what they look like without him. Good chance they drop to a 3 seed, which opens up for isu

You think he's big look at the center for UC Irvine....now that dude is BIG!!!!

I bought a nice pair of all-session tickets in the pre-sale for the St. Louis regional, but now probably won't go because we spent so much in KC for the Big 12s. PM if interested.

Maybe this was mentioned earlier but I certainly hope we make a deep run in the tournament but if not I'm so glad the players won the Big 12 that will be a a heck of a memory for them for years to come.

New Mexico State has that huuuuuuuuuuuuuge dude. Anyone see him yesterday? I mean he looks like a WWF villain from the 80s. Bigger than Cameron Ridley.

He would dwarf Ridley! 7'5" 350 I think. Ridley's almost closer in size to Naz Long than he is to that guy.

I've seen some brackets with us seeing a 6 seed Kentucky round two. I think Randle might throw up a 30-30 game on us. They aren't as good as they were but I don't want any part of UK again.

I gotta believe we're getting credit for it in the selection room. Same as for Wisconsin's win over Florida and Villanova's over KU.

I am hoping for a Friday game. I have a Doctor Appointment Friday morning so I of course took the whole day off.

IRRC, Wisconsin beat Florida in Madison when Florida was without Wilbekin (SEC POY), Finney-Smith, and Chris Walker.
We beat Michigan when they had McGray.
