There wasn't a lot to hang on to in this loss. However, we still have athletes who play for this school without getting any compensation, just for the love of the game. Brackins has been steady in his last few games, and Lucca is solid. There are some bright spots mixed in there.
No compensation??? How about a free education.

You just cant expect a freshman to play down the stretch like a pro!!

are you serious. its ******* basketball against SDSU. If he keeps playing all these minutes against low competition, and sucks. i'm not asking him to play like a pro, he's waaay too far from that. I just want smart, fundamental play. he doesnt have it.

Thank you. It was nice to see Brackins hit two FT's in crunch time; maybe that will help his confidence and he can improve on his 60% FT avg. Lucca also hit some crucial shots to bring it within 2.

....oh well, apathy has set in. Whenever this happens, I pull out my Tim Floyd vs Kansas VHS and relive some glory days........

Is this strike two against Jamie? What the hell was he thinking hiring this pathetic excuse of a coach???? I was very skeptical at the time, but tried to give the guy a chance.

THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME I CAN ACTUALLY SAY I AM EMBARRASSED TO BE A CYCLONE AND DONT WANT TO TELL ANYONE WHO I ROOT FOR AND IM A VIKINGS FAN

Hey Jamie, If your looking to save a little money before your lame duck tail gets fired scrap mens basketball might help with your buisness improvements seeing how you could give a crap less about putting talented coachs on the playing fields

Our offense was supposed to run through Brackins, but we all know how that's working out so far.

Brackins is soft...he will never be a threat down low...fades on EVERTHING...if he could fade away on a dunk he would.

I dont know if he would start on any team in the conference he's a bust.

McDermott was even worse tonight...what the hell was that. South Dakota State? Cupcakes dont get better than that.

Good thing its Christmas-egg nog with bourbon please!:biglaugh::biglaugh:

How long till that Jack Rabbit fan from football season is on here talking ****? By tomorrow I would guess.

I had hope after last game in which we saw actual ball movement and player movement in our offense.....and now I am speechless. I see nothing in the way that we play that says to me we are a well-coached team. When was the last time he outcoached somebody?

For being an "offensive genius" G-Mac was 80% of the reason we lost the game tonight.

I beg to differ. GMAC was 100% of the reason we lost. First of, you never put your freshman on the line to win games for you. Why does Eikmeier have the ball? He has been awful from the get go. Why him??

Also, why isn't their any ISU player near the basketball when we have a zone press on SDSU? They get an easy lay up and that sealed the victory.

I just don't understand how he could lead UNI to NCAA three years in a row and lose to some no name school in his 3rd year at Iowa State.

Where is Larry Estachy? Can he come back to ISU?

What's his ISU record against MVC opponents? Can't finish a game to save their life. Up 13 last year against UT, goes to OT and OF COURSE lose.

I was on board with the decision to fire Morgan. I fail to see though how this 3 year tenure is better. I've repeatedly said that I will wait and see through year 4, but this is absolutely ridiculous. When is the last time a coach at ISU could not beat mid-major and low-major schools? Lynn Nance? Hot seat? It had better be on fire at this point.

At least Lynn Nance won in the conference in year three. If I remember right, ISU tied for first place in the conference that year.

Our current coach is much like Altman, who also could not cut it in the Big 8.
