Someone who follows this better than I do....

I keep seeing these. ISU getting Auburn and Oklahoma linemen. Recruits that seem ready to perform at a high level now

Is Jimmy knocking the cover off of the ball here? Sure feels like it, but I've been fooled before
We can't know until the team hits the field in August - but I can't imagine it going much better than it has.

As hectic and important as the portal is - the real challenge to flipping an entire roster over has to be molding the individual parts, who don't know each other for the most part, into a cohesive unit and team. To me that's the most remarkable thing Jimmy did at WSU last year, with 70+ newcomers.

He may be. All I want to see in year one is strong fundamental football. Guys being in the right spot, no absolute bone headed special teams plays. I want an identity established, which it sounds like Rogers wants physicality on both sides of the ball. I’m good with that. Anything more is gravy

While any position is a "key" position, it seems he's back filling critical foundation spots with larger school athletes. Then, building a larger base with smaller school quality athletes who are GD hungry to prove themselves at a higher level. Full of piss and vinegar and ready to go. My 2 cents.

And ISU won't have to do that as much on one side of the ball, as the defense 2 deep will have WSU players everywhere. Those players will know exactly what is expected of them and should be able to expedite the learning curve of the others.

Hopefully it plays out that way.
