His wife is from South Dakota. Hopefully he wins many games in Ames and his wife likes seeing her family a lot.If history is any indicator...
If he truly wants to stay near South Dakota you'd be worried about Nebraska or Minnesota. Or perhaps he'd go home to a program in the Arizona neighborhood?
He's gonna end up buying Tech's way into the SEC at some point. As far as I've understood it, the promotional and financial actions of Cody are precisely his self-aware schtick.
He's holding up a mirror to the college football industrial complex to blatantly demonstrate that conferences named SEC and Big 10 are not inherently better than others, they're simply being given more money by ESPN and FOX to control their own self-sustaining narrative.
He's a billionaire, so he can have fun with that game and not even blink an eye. Odds are he will only become more of a tool the longer he has billions to his name. Alas, the absurdity that is frivolously spending gobs of his own money in the middle of west Texas is kinda his point, right?
Glad you appreciate it. I'm here all day.Damn that’s a good one…
I’m shocked. Not about Lounsberry but that Bill Seals is still around.Bill Seals from On3 reporting preferred walk on.
I mean he could just donate and not broadcast it all over. I don't have a problem with that.
It's the "look at me, look at me" stuff that screams "I need attention".
Heartland Sports had a story on it. It didn’t mention being closer to family. You will have to read it for yourself. Reasonable people can have differing opinions. I’ll leave it at that.
Or will he buy back Mizzou and A&M and piss on the SEC for as long as possible? He's gonna end up buying Tech's way into the SEC at some point.
Those schools have no desire to be in the Big 12. None. There is absolutely no financial incentive to leave the SEC for the Big 12. Especially now.Or will he buy back Mizzou and A&M and piss on the SEC for as long as possible?
Every coach wants to win a NC and that is going to be very hard at school not in the P2 just because you will not have enough money to keep up. Maybe Tech has a shot by one guy bankrolling everything. That money helped them dominate the Big 12 but then get dominated by a P2 school. Unless something changes with the media money the Big 12 has a very slim shot to run through the playoffs. If this fan base treats Rogers with the same kid gloves it treated Campbell, Rogers would be out of his mind to leave if he finds success here. He can have a salary for life doing what he loves and we’ll build him a statue, even if he keeps making the same mistakes for 10+ years.
His position coach at Toledo is here. Pretty good chance he was coming here regardless.Indiana took safeties from Cincinnati & one other school. I don’t know that we exactly beat them out, but he’s a home run get.
Assuming that I have an attachment or want to cover for MC and former players is bold and completely wrong. I am just getting tired of the attacks and, for the most part, lies/conspiracies many in here are making up/spreading to feel better because someone has to be a villain for their poor reasoning skills.Campbell has been very open about how important having the financial resources at PSU are in allowing him to compete at the highest level. It's not some secret. He certainly downplays it as "it isn't everything" but he doesn't pretend like it doesn't matter, and that it isn't a massively important thing that makes the job attractive.
Man, I don't get the weird need to run cover for Campbell or players that leave ISU. They left ISU for more money. Nothing wrong with that. And there's nothing normal about fans of a team thinking everybody should root for those guys.
No legitimate college sports team's fans root for guys that leave for other schools. That's just not normal.
It's a dumb entertainment product. These guys aren't off to go battle a terminal illness or fight in a war.
They're going to play for a (indirectly) competing organization because they can make more money than our university could pay them after cashing ISUs checks for the past couple of years. It's fine, nothing wrong with that. But the dorks wringing their hands over people possibly rooting against Pedo State make no sense.
But feel free to cheer for Matt if you want. His comment about how great Paterno and how much integrity he had should make you proud to be a Pedo State and MC fan.
And if you believe those were the reasons, I have some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you.
And if you really believe that, I have some ocean front property in north Iowa to sell you.
There's no such thing as the P4. Its the P2Every coach wants to win a NC and that is going to be very hard at school not in the P2 just because you will not have enough money to keep up. NO! He's a saint that wants what's best for college football and it has nothing to do with stroking his ego to get Tech into the big boys club. He's gonna end up buying Tech's way into the SEC at some point.
Our OL is almost set. Have to imagine Taylor (OU) starts at Tackle, Carter (Auburn) at Guard, hopefully we'll get that NDSU All-American Center, sounds like Gavin Broscious from Michigan State is ours - he'll be at the other G, then Maasai King (Akron) at the other tackle. I really like that line, with some young studs behind them.
He's running a 4-2-5. LBs are the least important part of that system. Much more important to get a strong line and safeties that can tackle at two levels.I'm waiting for a splash commit from a linebacker. JR will use multiple groupings and there are going to be a lot of reps for linebackers under him. Linebackers will have a blast playing for him.
They said he ran a ton of 4-3 with lots of reps for linebackers at WSU. I expect he'll run a lot of 4-3 at ISU using linebackers more than safeties in the box on run downs. He's running a 4-2-5.
