Anyone worried that JR will bounce if he has success early

No reason to worry about that today. IF it happens someday, it means he had success, so it’s a good thing. And until something changes to level the playing field, anticipate losing great coaches and your best players every year. We’re a development and feeder program. That doesn’t mean we can’t have success. We’re the Brewers.

Does it piss me off? Yes.
Does he look like an absolute tool? Yes.
Would I do the same for Iowa State if I had his money? Also yes.

If I had his money would I donate lots of money to ISU? Yes.

Would I do it to the extent he does? No.

Billboard in NYC where nobody gives an eff about TT (or ISU)? Hard no.

Going on Twitter and acting like these are naturally occurring things and that I'm not paying out the a** for them? Another hard no.

There's a way to do things that don't make you look like a desperate loser trying to get people to like you.

You drive around in your car with a mask on?

ISU does have the imperative to provide TJ everything that he needs as well. Glad I don't have to sort it all out.

No he won't. He just signed a giant extension to keep him from talking to Penn State that made every dime through 2032 guaranteed.
Omaha sports radio said if they fired Rhule after next season, they would owe him $70 million. So, yeah, he parlayed the Penn State opening into a guaranteed job for at least the next 3 to 4 years. And a tough schedule next year could give them a 6-6 season maybe.

Our OL is almost set. Have to imagine Taylor (OU) starts at Tackle, Carter (Auburn) at Guard, hopefully we'll get that NDSU All-American Center, sounds like Gavin Broscious from Michigan State is ours - he'll be at the other G, then Maasai King (Akron) at the other tackle. I really like that line, with some young studs behind them.

IMO Coach Rogers is building a very good team. The OL and DL players he is picking up are impressive. Raynor was a great add. Moberly can develop and back him up. IMO he’s gonna be good. This team is going to be hungry. And the staff that we are getting seems like it is filled with some great young coaches. The sky is not falling.

My theory is that the death of Buddy Holly created such multigenerational trauma that even a hint of media exposure in Lubbock induces psychosis.

The one overriding sentiment that has yet to be refuted is MC is a compulsive loyalist.

You don’t think that guy is using $30m to pay off the loyalty? It appears the money isn’t going to their former players.
Is there any evidence to suggest that MC is not a very competitive person and that he would purposely sabotage his own team out of loyalty? I think thats pretty absurd.

Do we have any factual data on Amare Campbell? What was he offered? How does that compare to Bacon/Ebel/etc? For all we know, he was asking to be the highest paid LB in the portal, maybe wanting 10x what Bacon/Ebel/etc got.

Taylor (OU) is an outstanding tackle (when healthy). But my understanding is that he missed part of the 2024 season and all of the 2025 season due to injuries. So, a bit of a gamble with potentially a high upside.
