This is also why the state needs to start supporting both Iowa and ISU athletics. There is legitimate economic impact to the state when one of Iowa’s size has two major college athletic programs selling out basketball arenas 20 times a year and football stadiums 7-8 times.

Apparently, you're not familiar with the state legislature. They continually fund Iowa at a higher rate per undergrad claiming Iowa's programs cost more.

I disagree. We were a top 15 team when healthy. All he needs to do is add some decent depth, spend some money on an oLine and dLine they couldn’t afford to get when here and he’s cooking.

I thought there would be maybe ten guys going with MC, and honestly felt like that guess was on the high end. Now it seems more like he planned to backfill his empty roster with ISU's from the beginning.

Or it's not by choice. They had 37 players leave (so far) in the transfer portal and he isn't getting any but ISU players biting. This has the makings of complete failure for him now.

Blum said on the pod yesterday that Sama got 10% of the crazy rumored amount of NIL that he was receiving last year. These public numbers are no good and we have no clue how much anyone gets

Blum always provides good insights on this stuff, and I appreciate that. He has a good sense of what things look like from a 30,000 foot level but also has been deeply involved in it for long enough to understand how a GM would view different position groups or approach getting the players they want on campus from the portal. Hopefully he stays tuned in well enough now that he's made the career change.

It's strange that people think Penn State is only going to get former Iowa State players, despite getting transfers from all over the place while the coaching staff was in Ames. I know we all hate Campbell, but you guys really think they won't get anyone else?

If reports are true that he had not met with players already on the PSU roster prior to their bowl game last week...nobody to blame but himself if they get a little cold feet while waiting for him to finish bringing kids from Ames. It makes sense.

I think there’s an argument for it. We beat Iowa who has a pretty decent resume and absolutely cooked Arizona before it all fell apart.

Definitely seems Rogers spending the most $$$ in our offensive line which is fantastic. Especially since we are going to run heavy offense.
