Most of the 2026 recruiting class will be filled with players that are not P4 quality. Most of these are purely depth pieces. A warm body is better than nobody.

You know, Coach Rogers was in the midst of a rebuild @ WSU, so he probably had a better pulse on players expected to hit the portal, not just kids he was raiding from his previous job. He is essentially just continuing his rebuild further East.

Campbell won with players similar to these guys. They aren't just random kids, they are players the current staff have evaluated as good fits for their program. I think this is especially true if the defensive players.

There are plenty of guys rated 3* and even 2* out of HS that weren't offered by many P4 programs, if at all, went lower level and showed they got game. These are the kind of guys eager to play P4 football and at the least, can help Rogers fill out a 2-deep in short order. No, we won't have a great record in 2026, but at least we'll be able to field a team.

I wonder if we possibly WON'T have a "horrible" year. Yea, optimistic, but....

That’s more than acceptable.

FFs, we were 8-4 this year and half this board was telling us to shut up and be grateful for that.

6-6 is a great result next year in my opinion.

Yes, most of the wash state guys have very similar offers as the incoming guys

I don’t think just the fans are about to be heartbroken either. Keeping in mind there are going to be guys in the portal who will be getting a wake up call on their value.

I’m not sure MC takes on all of our defections…maybe they have homes, maybe some we don’t want? But there will be a lot of sellers…and CU, KU, and multiple others aren’t going to be buyers or at least trusted buyers.

I’m also wondering how many of our guys jumped in because they might have priced themselves out of our market with their demands?

Also think CJR goes heavy on jr, sr and grad transfers. They will be more experienced and developed than the 2026 recruits we lost. Can do that the 1st couple years while developing relationships with high school recruits.

I have been quite pessimistic about the next couple years, but after seeing the schedule thinking different.

Did you see the players we had committed before Campbell left? Probably half of them were not p4 level. We will be fine.

Funny, I'm sure the other teams rebuilding are looking at us as a win. We have no idea how this team meshes and if this new group of offensive coach will be able to build an average offense. Thinking about a 6 win season in the big12 is being pretty optimistic .

Agreed. I'd be plenty happy with a 6-6 record and seeing Rogers getting started on developing his own recruiting pipeline to ISU.

The ISU 2026 class is > the PSU 2026 class currently. This is after kids switched following the coaching changes.

Coach Rogers did not come here to lose, so I expect we will see a season where we are much like TJ's first year.....uglier on offense, but exciting and aggressive on defense. Home crowd wins us a + game or two, we lay one egg on the road leaving us in the "who the hell knows range." No insult to Coach Roehl intended...and I've already told the family we are going to the UCF "bouncy house"
