I like that they made adjustments in the 2nd OSU game as well. It’s a good sign imho.

I’m not sure beyond 2026, but next years schedule might be the softest of anyone in the “Power 2.” They somehow avoid Ohio State, Indiana and Oregon. He could run that schedule…get readyI figure it’s best for our narrative if he does 8-4/9-3 every year. If he falls completely flat and does worse the narrative becomes “see? The big 10 is so much harder than the big 12”. If he comes in and wins a title, it becomes “you can’t win at Iowa state and taking the step up is a good decision”.
Starters? 15-20%. Total roster, maybe 30% because JFR will need to fill out a rosterThat said, what percentage of our team, next year, will be from WSU?
There just aren’t that many 5 star kids to begin with. But he should be able to pull plenty of 4 stars. Theres already plenty of rumbling about the “3 star coaches and players” MC is bringing in from Iowa St. in fact, they get a little irritated when you call them Iowa State East (or Pedo St, for that matter)I didn’t say he wouldn’t get 4 star athletes, but Franklin for all his success there, did not pull many 5 stars and I don’t think Campbell will either. He’s going to live in the 100-500 ranked kids is what I was implying. Hell he will be doing great most years if he can get 5 of the top 10 kids out of Pennsylvania alone. It’s a very football talent rich state.
If he wins less than 10 games with that schedule it would be a disappointment.I’m not sure beyond 2026, but next years schedule might be the softest of anyone in the “Power 2.” They somehow avoid Ohio State, Indiana and Oregon. He could run that schedule…get ready
He played Ole Miss and James Madison. Virginia didn’t make the playoff. He beat a really solid Toledo team and got waxed by North Texas. He also had one of the worst losses of the season in losing to Oregon State. The three best performances of the year were all losses.Washington State played 3 CFP teams. He completely rebuilt the team bringing in 60 players. I am optimistic about Coach Jimmy Rogers. Mouser would have been an extremely poor choice. IMO Campbell was hoping Mouser would get the Iowa State job. Pollard hired Rogers and almost forced Campbell’s hand to keep Mouser. Would have been a terrible look not bringing Mouser to Pedo State.
December 25th was chosen as a way to pre-empt an ongoing Roman holiday...literally no connection to the date of Jesus actual birth. That said, birthdays are mostly symbolic events anyway...so the actual date isn't really the point.
I don't expect Rocco to be an NFL QB. However, I don't believe many thought Brock would be either and even fewer expected him to have the success he's had.

I get why some are drinking the kool-aid. There are things to like and there are plenty of things to question. We can’t afford to miss on this hire. Failing as we head into 2029-2031 would almost certainly guarantee a relegation. Likewise Rodgers have a 8-4 season in Year 2 or 3 and bolting would have the same result.
Pollard’s handling was less than ideal (announcing the new coach at Campbell’s team meeting). In my opinion JP’s legacy is now likely tied to keeping TJ and Rodgers at least somewhat sustaining the success that Campbell had. If he fails on either of those fronts then he needs to gracefully exit or be fired.
We can hope. He has USC at home and Washington on the road. That’s about it. You can bet he knew it when he took the job.If he wins less than 10 games with that schedule it would be a disappointment.
Just some Average Joe's if I've ever seen one.
You mean his “Leave it better than you found it” line? After Campbell’s exit and poaching the Iowa State roster, Coach Jimmy Rogers gets the credit for rebuilding the Iowa State program going forward. Matt is destroying the foundation at Iowa State that he had built
Man all I see is our players leaving possibly to Pedo State and I'm getting angry at Matt Campbell because now it feels like he's out to destroy ISU. What is this new doing? We are not getting new players fast enough. By now we should have at least 5 players from WSU follow him to ISU.
Wayne Morgan went from head coach to selling Dish TV. I think comparing his career arch in his mid-50’s versus that of Mouser in his 30’s is a bit reckless. Feels like you have a significant axe to grind against Mouser.Mouser was nothing but Wayne Morgan. Yeah he may have kept some guys, but in a couple years when all hs frat buddies weren't there to bail him out we'd see how unqualified he was at the current time.
It’s survive for now. Something has to change at some point or there is literally going to be nothing left of 80% of the college football programs in America. I’m not near smart enough to know what that is when the power lives in the SEC, B10 and ESPN.This is the problem, no way will we ever be able to keep up with this. EVER.
Some on here absolutely love the NIL era, claiming it is the best era ever for ISU. It could just be because as it started everything was so disorganized and confusing that everyone was somewhat on a level playing field. Or that we just happened to get lucky, and had a good coaching staff to boot.
Now that places have figured it out, and gotten organized, we are going to get left in the dust. This is going to be worse than ever before, worse than Nebby and all there partial qualifiers, steroid system and other under the table deals. This is going to be those with the most cash, buy the best team, period, and all right there in the open.
TT could end up outspending all others at some point, if they havent already.
If anything this year with the coaching poaching, and the player buying, has shown that we are not even on the same planet as some of these schools, when it comes to money. And the gap is now not just inside the program, facilities and coaches salary, now it is everything including players.
The NIL and transfer portal with no real controls that work, are destroying college athletics and it appears it is only going to get worse, and accelerate.
I'm not saying we can compete with TTU when it comes to money (that is obvious), but I'll also tell you the people bankrolling these programs aren't the type to tell some random Youtuber how much money they make while sipping on a cocktail at a football game. I get your point, but these videos are just stupid. This is the problem, no way will we ever be able to keep up with this. EVER.

Not shitting on anyone. If you are going to give credit for the efforts against JMU, Ole Miss and Virginia don’t we also want to provide the context of North Texas and Oregon State. If you are gonna **** on the guy, it’s Rogers
