Keeping established QB's like Rocco or Hoover could make or break the bulk of teams who have $13-15M to spend on football payments vs. schools like Ohio State, Penn State, TT, etc. with $30M+. Do schools like Iowa State or TCU spend $3M plus (20%+) on 1 player? Or do coaches believe there is a backup ready that might cost $1M?
I would be curious what the value is for ISU's best players. Would the group of 10 players: Rocco, Brahmer, Hanson, Buhr, Konrardy, Hawk, Ebel, Bacon, Neal and Williams cost Iowa State it's entire $13M budget?
So does Rogers take a Moneyball approach and go with a group of: Manske, Alexander, Sama, Buhr, Konrardy, Hawk, Ebel, Goodwin, Coffey and Bell that cost Iowa State $8M. Leaving the remaining $5M to fill out the roster with emerging younger players.

Feel like the NFL is moving this direction to some degree. There is a VERY short list of QBs that can put a team on its back.

Saw a tweet earlier mentioning how GM’s are coming out and saying they can’t afford to spend over 3 mil on QB’s this year. Have to build an entire roster with the rev share amounts they are allotted
When are the revenue sharing deals for players released so the public knows how much each player gets from the university. I’m assuming that has to be a public record and if so, athletes are going to have to adjust to 100x more criticism from fans.

Correct it does not make me an expert, and hating unions and what they do doesn't either. How is the $20 million cap working right now? Without a union, you cannot have collective bargaining to put into place rules that must be followed. But like I said, it works in all other professional sports, but you think it somehow would not work here.

It has just been instituted, and you think it's working, and will stop all of this in the future. But in the real world, TT spent $50 million NIL on player this year, and will do it again next year. So show me where it's working.
That $20 million will be sued over and we all know it, the split will never be what some people want, the non money making sports athletes will quickly be in court when they realize that they are getting a few thousand while someone on the money making sports is making a million or more. It's semantics. There is a Rev share cap in place, there is no NIL cap in place. NIL is where programs are going over, the only regulation there is getting deals past the clearinghouse.
Probably true, but what they did for this season means nothing. Schools that went nuts this year got the big gift payments in before July 1 when the new "rules" went in place.

If and that is a huge IF they try to stop it, then schools will just go back to under the table payments and nothing will change.
You want change, then its a players union and collective bargaining, with a signed contract by all parties, without its, nothing is going to change.
