Feel like we need them to run the table and then lose the CCG to get two Big 12 teams in.

Tech becoming a wagon is good for the conference, so long as they perform well in the CFP!
Is it really all that good though? BYU is maybe the only other team that will have the funding to be able to compete with Tech. I don't think the conference image really improves all that much if Tech just runs all over everyone and rattles off 5 straight titles. If anything, it just validates all of the pundits who say that our conference can't compete with the big guys.

Alabama and Georgia have won 11 of the last 12 SEC titles, how do people view the SEC? Tech being good won’t hurt the big 12, other teams shitting the bed against other P4 schools would be what did that.

I’m also curious to see how Tech does with NIL now that the cap and clearinghouse are in place. They will undoubtedly be big spenders, but it will be more difficult than Campbell asking how much he should make the check out for.

The cap and the clearinghouse will end up not meaning squat, the toothpaste is out of the tube, and if they try to limit it to $20 million NIL per school, they will immediately head to court to stop it. The only way to "solve" this problem is going to be to allow the players to form a union, and collective bargaining is set up to bring rules to the madness. Here is the amount of money each school can spend and the players will have to give up their rights on transfers. Say one mulligan and then the next one you have to sit out a year. Kids that sign with a school has to stay two years unless the coach leaves. For all the to occur it's going to take the government to get involved and anti trust protection to schools are going to have to be provided.

Schools with NIL will fight all of this, I do not blame them, this is going to take forever to figure out and the only thing that is going to spend it up, is if this super league forms and ground rules are set up for all schools before they sign on the dotted line.

Unsure if he'll come to ISU, But I gotta think that the NDSU camp approves of ISU hiring Rogers with the hope that some Jackrabbits will head to ISU to join up with Rogers.
And with House Settlement & NIL $ gotta believe every top player at SDSU, NDSU, UND, USD and every other elite FCS team will have money waived in their faces by P4 schools.

IMO this next month is going to create crazy movement across CFB.

Maybe, but none of that has happened for the portal season beginning in a couple weeks. That’s the one I’m curious about. I don’t bother wondering what it will look like down the road since it changes (from things you mentioned) yearly.

I don't like all the use of "pedo" state. Weirds me out. I'm not sure we should be using the horrible trauma those kids went through as a cheap joke
I hear you about the kids. But I also despise their school, donors, fans, athletics department and everyone else that covered this up and then wants the rest of the world to completely put it behind us. They’re still worshipping JoPa who let this all go on.

So in that regard, I don’t feel bad at all.

Although I have never used the term myself, its usage does not bother me.

I do not consider it as a joke but a reminder of what I consider abhorrent behavior by influential leaders.

We are talking about two totally different things here, the here and now portal situation will work its way out. I would expect a lot of your better players to looking to portal just to see what is out there and decide if they want to come back or take the money or opportunity at another school. ISU does not have the funds of a TT to just start throwing money out there to solve the problem and I doubt we ever will.

I was talking about solving the problem down the road and all the potholes that are going to be there to get this back to a somewhat level playing field, also knowing its never been a level playing field, but the current situation is worse for schools like ISU than what it was before.

Campbell hired an assistant GM Jack Griffith last week that was crucial in getting Sorsby to Cincy.
Sorsby is either going to Texas Tech or Penn State if I had to guess, kept seeing reports about Jack to PSU & that Sorsby's GF goes to Tech. Seems like both will pay whatever he wants (rumored 4m on X yesterday).
