Yeah if you watch his clips on twitter he’s lined up a lot in the backfield as a fullback. Just like the last staff the fullbacks are in the tight end room. Saw this elsewhere but this past season but 60% of his snaps where run blocking for the running back
That is kind of the bottom line. Its all fairly meaningless without a comparison with the other members of the conference.
Just going to have to wait until they play the games I think! Some stuff you just can't pull off of someone's weighted spreadsheet.
Our ratings compared to the rest of the conference have been fairly meaningless for most of a decade.
Have we gotten a punt return blocker yet?
Considering CMC and Penn State decimated our core this year it is way more relevant this year unfortunately.
The guys that went with Campbell were never highly rated versus the conference. And what's more important than ratings is fit.
Ratings are mostly meaningless to me. From what I can tell, stars are awarded based on who’s recruiting you. That’s subjective. Of course you want size, speed, and strength- there’s no measurement for work ethic however. Development is far more important in my opinion. Having an eye for potential and finding kids that will thrive in your system if you figure out how best to use them. Campbell was very good at doing that (with the exception of offensive lineman). I have faith that our new staff excels at finding hidden gems and developing them as well.
We all these guys be getting on campus for 2nd semester? And are all the outgoing guys leave immediately and head to PSU or where ever?
They all need to be at their respective schools for spring ball.
So I’m assuming since the deadline to enter the transfer portal has passed and there was never any news of any of these names entering the portal that all of them will be back next season?
The deadline to enter was yesterday but the schools have 48 hours to acknowledge so some could show up on the portal yet Sunday.
When does Spring ball start? I think it would be smart for all to get hear for 2nd semester. Not sure if that is possible or common practice
WSU did just fine replacing their core last year. We’ll be fine.
I think all, if not the vast majority of guys, already signed or committed, will be around for Spring Ball. I think a lot of the early guys arrived this week, like Pabst. Now the ones who are committing this week, I would guess, but who knows. Maybe they arrive later.
Have to be there at or close to beginning of the semester so Monday.
LaMarcus Hicks committed to Arkansas, someone said there were rumblings Rutledge visited Pedo St, but no news of committing. No word on the others. I have no idea if you can enter the portal without public notification (never saw indication for Rutledge, yet he could visit elsewhere?), but if you cannot then they are staying, or possibly shown the door? If the latter, I figure they'd have entered the portal immediately, so maybe fairly certain they are staying?
