***Official portal tracker thread***

I think people have been brainwashed to think the universities can’t fund their own teams rosters and it’s all up to them. No other sport relies on crowdfunding a roster, yet a multi-billion dollar industry in CFB can’t figure it out? Give me a break.

Do you enjoy giving money to people who don’t fulfill their obligations for that money?
Do you enjoy arguing with yourself? Give yourself a break dude, I haven’t said any of the things you invented an argument about.

Rocco could have been a legend had he stayed here... and revered.

At PSU he'd better darn perform... he will be compared to Grunk all season by their fans.
The other risk is if he gets injured again and misses a lot of the season. That could also anger the fans if the replacement is a dumpster fire.

Or it's not by choice. They had 37 players leave (so far) in the transfer portal and he isn't getting any but ISU players biting. This has the makings of complete failure for him now.
I’m not sure about that. He’s focused on retention historically, this is the first time he’s had to go all in on the portal. Will be interesting to watch the finish.

And I dont know what you want?

People on here were panicking, begging for some bigger name recruits because they dont thing who we have gotten so far is good enough.

We go out and land some big time transfers, and you say, meh looks good, but we have to wait and see if he is good.

What do you want? What will make you say, hey seems like CJFR is on the right track? Hey we are getting some dudes in Portal. Hey we might be ok.

Seriously, there are a ton of people on here panicking because we didnt fill out our roster on day one of the portal, then when we started getting guys, they werent good enough, now its well we still dont know.
At some point you may have to take a breath and say hey things are going to be ok, things are coming together. We may not know how this all works out, but it looks like we are on the right track.
average person on here is stupid. And 23

Blum's ISU commentary is by far the best there is outside of Heft and Walter's. He could easily carry any of the KXNO sports radio shows.
Wish he had even a bigger presence in local media.
Totally agree.

OUCH for the Huskers:

Kentucky is a bizarre saga. They were supposedly going to land Sam Leavitt on a $5+ million deal but he left his visit without committing and headed straight to LSU after they couldn't land Sorsby. I imagine Kentucky got word that Leavitt ain't coming an threw big money at the next best guy they could try and land.

Imagine that means Leavitt to LSU under Kiffin.

You’re welcome.

The difference here is the football revenue doesn’t just have to fund football operations. It has to fund entire athletic departments and their programs (minus men’s basketball). That is something no other sport has to deal with.

That’s not a problem for the top 10-20 athletic departments. But it is for all the others.
It to mention that several programs receive support from the University. Hell, ASU just wrote off $300M for their AD.
