***Official portal tracker thread***

Zay Robinson is visiting Penn State right now. Doubt he was part of the 5-10 people originally thought, yet he was one of the first to enter the portal, which tells me CMC was interested in poaching more than we expected
Without a doubt Campbell or someone on his staff reached out to the ISU players that they wanted to tell them that if they wanted to transfer, there would be a spot of them at Penn State. The staff would know which players would be able to play at Penn State and which would struggle for playing time. Take the best, and **** can the rest.

If Roehl can make Lance look like he's worth 3 first rounders and a third then he might be the greatest OC alive.
Pretty sure that was just a hold my beer, Oakland with SF trying to outdo the JaMarcus Russell debacle.

.

Let other programs over pay for production. They have the funds for it. Meanwhile we can't be as lazy.
Why is paying a football player what the market deems he is worth overpaying?

This whole narrative about the players not being worth what the market deems they are worth seems like a way for fans to cope about us being unable to afford the talent level we’ve had.

P4 rosters are twice The size of NFL rosters.
Now that's a thought instead of paying for a 100 kids just pay for 70 instead. If you're a player you should like this because it ups your opportunity for playing time. Save the A.D. 30 players worth of salary.
I wouldn't object to trying it for a year.

Except if injuries hit we are hosed. Gotta be up to that 90 some so you aren’t throwing out 270 lb linemen.

Assuming that those cuts allow the department to cut 15 scholarships in women’s sports and using the $43k number that’s $1.3M savings.

Any idea what that buys?

Pros do it all the time, Baylor proved there are no rules,if someone gets hurt pay some USFL(?) guy to come fill in for a few games. Nobody will stop it and if they do who cares they take away a few victories that everybody actually counts anyway out in the real world. 9 -3 then 2 yrs later there are 6 forfeit nobody cares they remember the 9 and 3.
Embrace the wild west. :) :):D

Hell I'd leave the minor sports the same don't we need x number of sports to be in the B12? Use the money to pay the remaining players more per person or bank it for the next yr.
Personally I'd spend the savings on mbb.

Well…given there is ZERO ROI for these guys out side of alumni **** measuring…not sure what the market value might really look like…
