***Official Pacers Playoff Thread***

Well, then Carlisle just got absolutely schooled. If Pascal and Miles got that many shots off of Tyrese making things happen, that would be one thing. There were so many possessions were he was getting the ball to one of those two and then they cleared out and let them go to work, usually taking a contested shot.
I have to imagine either Tyrese is still hurt or Carlisle thought those matchups (Pascal/Miles) were better for them. Other strange things were done in this game as well (e.g., lots of extended bench minutes).

Bucks are a veteran team who know how to flip the switch in the playoffs. Indiana was dicking around like it was still the regular season. If they can find that next level from a competitive standpoint it will be a good series.

Tyrese has not looked the same since the injury. He is definitely not 100%
This. All of his numbers have dipped post all-star break. He hasn't been the same player he was from Oct-Jan. I was kind of surprised he still received the Olympic team invite

It has to be injury.

If you are a guard being defended by Beasley, Lilliard and PatBev in his millionth year, it truly isn't going to get much easier than that in any playoff series. The Bucks with Giannis were not a very good defensive team, and their weakness defensively has been in the backcourt. That's about as bad a defensive backcourt as there is in the league.

A 2nd team all-NBA level player getting guarded by any of those three needs to have the ball, making a play every single trip down the court. And if they are doubling a lot, which the started, now you have something to make some hay with from the other guys. But that's not at all what they did. They just got the ball out of his hands and had him play off the ball, with not much motion or action to get him the ball, all while being guarded mostly be terrible defensive players.

Tyrese is the case study for these new all-NBA rules. He clearly rushed back so he could make an all-NBA team. This article sets it up nicely, but the different between being all-NBA and not in his case is around $40 million.

Stinks because he could have probably taken a month off and gotten healthy.

Some of these bad calls and chippy play from Milwaukee is actually helping Pacers snap out of their lack of intensity they had game one. They're mad now and you need to be a little mad in the playoffs.

Damn thing is blacked out for some reason.

Bucks are being massive punks and you can see it feeding Pacers. Big mistake, they just keep their heads down and play like game one and they probably have a big lead again.

Now even Lillard is losing his cool and acting like a baby. Pacers up 9 mid third.

***Edit, the crying worked, he got three straight calls.

They are really hounding Tyrese off the ball. giving him the curry treatment.

edit: Pacers really weathered that Bucks run and have closed the 3rd nicely.

Turning into a real beatdown win for Indy. Bucks lost their cool. Indy didn’t even play very well.

Pacers are rolling now. Very good young team. Pascal Siakam was a huge addition. Tyrese doesn’t have to score a ton for them to win.

He’s obviously not Gianis but Pacers are also missing key player and probably best athlete Matherin.

Des Moines is in the Pacers market. I think it's because they are shown on Bally Sports Midwest out of St. Louis or something stupid like that. Could only watch them all season if they played on TBS/TNT or ABC...So stupid.

Tyrese played really well for having no shooting touch. It does feel like this is Pascal's team now, and that Hali has taken a back seat. Got to think some of that is the injury, but I think Spicy P has taken over some of the ownership, too.

He’s got the experience, a ring, and talent. It’s always been Tyrese’s crazy metrics in making other players better while not being ball dominant.
