1st QT:
ISU tries to establish the run with various runs up the middle but the line is shaky and only manages a yard or 2 each run. This forces Sam to try to convert 3rd and long but OSU's pressure forces Sam to scramble for a few yards that don't convert.
OSU's offense comes out throwing on it's first couple of possessions but ISU is able to get enough pressure to make the QB uncomfortable and their offense only manages a few drives for a couple of field goals mainly due to KVD's leg in a field position battle.
ISU=0 OSU=6
2nd QT:
ISU Starts throwing deep but the line can't give Sam enough time for the plays to develop, he either scrambles or makes throws too early that aren't completed. Luckily the return game get's ISU into great field position and ISU get's a field goal.
OSU realizes that they can run effectively and starts to mix run and pass. ISU's bend don't break defense valiantly tries to slow down OSU but finally breaks and OSU scores a long TD and another field goal.

3rd QT:
ISU goes back to the running game thinking that OSU forgot that the Oline can't run block and is able to manage some encouraging drives. Sam while frazzled is able to connect on some intermediate passes.
OSU offense starts clicking and moves the ball fairly easy and scores couple of times but untimely turnovers makes this a game.
ISU=13 OSU=26
4th QT
ISU thinking that OSU will try to stop the somewhat succesful running game tries to throw deep again. Sam who has been trying to navigate a leaky line all game starts getting jumpy and runs into pressure inspite the Oline actually providing decent protection. ISU still manages a score.
OSU figures out the defense and scores on a will draining drive even though ISU tries a furious comeback they fall short.
