Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

This fanatic is writing from my hotel in Costa Rica... Wishing I could be there/watch the game on tv... GO CYCLONES!!!!!

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

Bill's going to need another T to start out the game.

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

I don't think I have ever wanted to win a game more than this one. Kansas deserves it, and I want to give them one so badly. :arghh:

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

Can't wait for tonight after bring crushed emotional the previous two times...... Irish eyes are going to be smiling this weekend on ISU. Time for revenge and take the trophy back to Ames this weekend.

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

I'm looking forward to hopefully a a fairly officiated game. You know whoever is reffing this game is well aware of the debacle that occured in the previous matchup. And they're probably also aware that everyone is going to be watching them closely. I hope we go straight at Withey early to draw some early fouls.

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

So our family is headed up to Madison, Wisconsin this weekend to visit family. I am a HUGE LeBron fan and I found out a week ago that the Heat are playing the Bucks in Milwaukee and tickets are only $25. So naturally I bought them. I have been stoked out of my mind for the last week to see Wade and Lebron play in person.

We are about to leave Ames for Madison, and I now have to decide whether I'm going to give up what may be my only chance to see possibly the greatest athlete in history, to watch my home team play (on tv) in the biggest game of the year. Both games start at the same time. Not sure what to do....

That would be an easy choice for me, ISU game.

Smart phone?

Smart phone?
Yeah I can follow it on GameCenter on my phone, but I will honestly drive myself crazy if I do that.
Thankfully NBA arena's usually have sports bars like Hilton has Johnny's, except you don't need to be a donor/important to get in. And fortunately, since NBA are so much longer than college ones, I can probably watch the entire second half of the ISU game at one of those bars/restaurants and only miss not too much more than a quarter of the NBA game. The issue is how cool they will be with letting me into one of those bars, since I'm only 18...

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

One Cyclone strong in the middle of KU upper deck section... ready to give it all I got today. Fans really got quiet at the end of the OU game - they wanted OU bad.

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

ISU taking on KU for the third time at 6:30pm in the Big 12 tournament semi-finals and on ESPNU.

Note: This game is only on ESPNU outside the "Big 12 Network footprint". I expect it to be blacked out in Iowa. It is on WOI in Des Moines.

What sucks is that KFXA in eastern Iowa will not carry the game. Mediacom ch22 has picked it up, but if you are in Eastern Iowa and don't have Mediacom (or a regional sports pack), I don't think you will be able to watch the game.

I just pulled up my directtv app and it shows the game on ESPNU. However, at the ESPN website, it has it on ESPN3... I'm screwed if it's on ESPN3, but the blackout doesn't seemt to apply to Iowa based on the ESPN3 listing.

EDIT - checked espn home page and it is shown as airing on ESPNU...View attachment 19102View attachment 19101

I will get it on espnu, but I hate tha it isn't even on the deuce. This game is huge for more reasons than the oh game was and that was on espn2.

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

For me, if they win great, if the lose will not lose sleep over it. The pressure of getting into the Big Dance is now off, and that is a much bigger prize than a win over KU.

Will be happy if they win, but will not go Clone21 or Go State 71 if they lose.

I would never advocate that, but winning a Big 12 tournament is a pretty big prize that lives forever. Gotta go through KU to get there.

At the KU Invitational, no less.

The last championship was great. The last Big 8 championship was great, too. Won't ever forget them.

Re: ***Official ISU vs. Kansas Part 3 Gameday Thread***

I had a co-worker asking if the game might get streamed somewhere. So I went looking. Why does ESPN say the game is at 7pmEST and cyclones.com say 6:30CST??

Edit: Not the time zone thing, but the half hour difference.
