Foster timeline is right around when Woodbury v2.0 graduates, assuming he decides to come back and isn't a one and done.
I'll go out on a limb and say safe assumption.Foster timeline is right around when Woodbury v2.0 graduates, assuming he decides to come back and isn't a one and done.
I found this portion of the article interesting:
Iowa had a head start.
Greer called Hawkeye Assistant Sherman Dillard early this spring and told him he had a good one. Dillard looked into it and monitored Foster’s progress.
“Some coaches will take that information and say it’s a 14 year old and wait on it. But he showed interest and followed up and trailed his progression,” Greer said. “I give him kudos for it because the other schools I reached out to didn’t do so. Because Iowa was the first one to follow his progression and give him the offer, now everybody is kind of following suit. It’s like, oh, he’s got that type of potential..."
So, you call Iowa FIRST to recommend the kid (which leads me to believe that there was already an existing relationship between Greer and IA coaches), and then give the Hoks props for their follow-up on the kid. I think someone needs to send Greer a tape of the Iowa Coaching Staff's development of Basabe and Woodbury - perhaps he would think twice about recommending a big man to the Hoks.
Not true. I love going to my uncles house and watching the Iowa state games there that are on cyclone.tvIt's not kinda fun to go there, however.
Jal Bijek. 6-7 senior forward. Right now just getting mid-major interest. Explosive athlete.Who's the kid with coach?
Second time for the staff to visit Kyle in a month. Could becoming a 2019 priority.
@OntheRadarHoops Iowa State will see 2019 guard Kyle Sturdivant @dr3amchasin of Norcross (GA) @NorcrossHoops Saturday
But Fran does it the right way!If we continue to get to the second weekend (and beyond) in the NCAA's and Iowa kids rather go to Iowa over us, that's their loss. We're a much better brand of basketball, so you'd think it would be appealing to in-state kids, but who knows.
