Memphis is closest to his parents. VCU does not seem like a winner for him.

I don't understand why people would want to play for Pastner. He's brought in a ton of talent at Memphis and just bombed. He's never made it as far as the Sweet 16 yet he brings in top recruiting classes.

Cal probably taught him a thing or two about recruiting while there, if you know what I mean.

I was looking for something negative to say about Memphis that is a positive in Ames. It turns out that Memphis also has some of the best drinking water in the country. Who woulda thunk? I guess we can't fault him for going to Memphis for the drinking water.
