Big East, read Conference USA2.0, should try to do what the MWC did successfully for a few years when it grouped the best mountain region teams together and left the others for the WAC.

After the Big 12, Big Ten, SEC, and ACC end up with what they want, there will be about 20 CUSA/Big East leftovers. Take the best Ten. Then hope to rebuild the logical path that was starting with 10 MWC teams vs. 10 CUSA teams in a title game.

Either a new 8-10 team conference would form with teams like UAB, Marshall, Old Dominion and Rice, or the Sun Belt would get really big.

There will be a meeting of the Board of Visitors on November 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Weldon Cooper Center; 700 East Franklin Street; Richmond, Virginia 23219. This meeting will be held in closed session for the purpose of conducting a routine annual evaluation of the President. There is no action that will come out of the meeting. It had already begin with FIU and North Texas scheduled. My prediction of how it all shakes out eventually at the mid and lower tier...basically everything but the relatively stable MAC.

It is okay, they way things are shaping up this will be and even better megathread because we aren't talking about ISU to the MAC/MWC/Sun Belt/C-USA
