***OFFICIAL BIG 12 EXPANSION THREAD 2.0***

I would like to see the Big12 try and snag UNC or Georgia Tech somewhere. For football...obviously Florida State is the first choice but there are some very good academic institutions in the ACC that can add to the Big 12's luster and would be excellent basketball schools. I know football drives the bus but they would add value in certain areas.

Probably come after Texas and Oklahoma again. Larry Scott was so close he could taste it. If there is anybody who could find a way out of the Big 12 GOR, it would be Larry Scott, David Boren, and Deloss Dodds...

Agree with the above. Question is if Baylor and TCU can keep them in the Big 12. I think the polical fallout may be stronger than the GOR.

OU has to be with OSU, and UT has to be with Tech at this point.

Unless Pac 12 takes all 4 Texas schools, and OU OSU go to SEC. Which I don't see happening.

But who knows.

I say we go after Kentucky. Why not? They are getting their ***** kicked in the SEC for football. They get to come to a more competitive basketball conference. They can have their own TV network. ( This will never happen, but you don't know until you try!)

I think though, we need to add Louisville. I don't want Mormon USA (BYU). Too many schedule issues with them. Let's go after FSU and Clemson.

The fact that an ACC charter member has left the conference is a big deal. There are fissures in that conference. Just like when Syracuse and Pitt left the Big East.

I want to know what UCONN, Georgetown, Marquette, Seton Hall, Villanova, Depaul, Providence, St. Johns and South Florida are going to do. Only UCONN and South Florida have Division 1 football. Villanova will be moving up soon. Will these teams bail the conference?

Actually, after our next two-game stretch against UT and OU, I will probably be ready to dump the round-robin again.

I think we have no shot at UNC. If they want Academics they go to Big 10. If not they go SEC. Or they stay loyal to ACC.

Rutgers is burning bridges left and right. If the Big10 leaves them behind, they will likely make a phone call to the Big12

I know we all loathe the Big Ten, but IF they ever invited ISU to join, would you want to accept?

Negative rep to any ******* who says "it will never happen".

I find the timing of this very interesting:

ND basically joins the ACC, is undefeated and has 1 game to win to get to the National Championship, and the Big10 destroys the ACC. Probably just coincidence, but interesting none-the-less
