Yeah, parents in Page county have had at least 3 separate storm totals of 6 inches or more. Several fields were replanted.

I got .55” this morning. That gets me over 2” since April 15.

Might take the kids for a ride tonight and see how Dry Creek and Indian Creek are doing. They have been quite full but never seem to flood like they seemed to do growing up.

I loved seeing how much of Armstrong Field (Linn-Mar's old football stadium) would get covered by water that spilled out of Indian Creek!

Just checked my gauge in N. Ames, we had 2.5 inches since yesterday and KCCI has Gilbert with 2.75. They list Story City and Roland at 3.9 inches of rain. It just poured this morning a couple of times with some wind before sun up.

That's wild. I'm at 0.9" on the West side of town.

If he can drive 94 mph, it will be like it’s perfectly calm since the wind and rain would be going the same speed as him.

I pulled back the throttle on Big Spirit to let the leading edge of a downpour hit my outboard. The storm was moving at 38 mph and I did this for almost a half mile. It was as much fun as catching musky.

I loved seeing how much of Armstrong Field (Linn-Mar's old football stadium) would get covered by water that spilled out of Indian Creek!

I think they finally remedied that by putting in a bridge that doesn't block most of the creek...

The storm tracked from the Northwest and we were on the very Southern edge so I can believe that given what I'm hearing from the North side of town.

We've been in this house for almost 6 years, and for some reason North Ames ALWAYS gets more rain than we do. Weird stuff.

Been raining pretty steady since about 8 AM. Tried to check the gauge but didn't want to get too wet. Looks like about 2" today. Or pretty close either way. So far.

Sump pump had finally settled down to once every 5 minutes or so. Back to every 30 seconds on cycle.
