I drove right through this and it may be the worst rain I have ever driven in. Glad to know I wasnt crazy.

In north Ankeny. This is nuts. Lost power now and all the kids are up.

I keep thinking this storm is finally fading out, then 5 minutes later it fires up again with even heavier rain. Just wave after wave going on 3+ hours. If I don't have water in the basement it'll be a miracle.

I legit was going to give a quick watering on Thursday night until we had that quick shower that came by around 5.

5.6” later…We were on vacation in 2018 when Ankeny got 11+inches. My sump pump is doing much better this time.
