Illinois is in the Final Four for the first time since 2005 and the 5th time overall. They are 1-4 in the National Semifinals. Their only win in the National Semifinals was in 2005 vs Louisville.

Very cool story bro but that was my 2nd time ever doing a bracket. Picked Illinois to beat UNC, with Kentucky and Louisville as the others. I learned that yr to always take Michigan state one more game than you want to even if you like the other team's name better and that has honestly been great advice. 2OT game cost me the closet I ever got to picking the full final four.

I would say they had 3 really good to great players - Okpara, Ament, and Gillespie. Decent enough supporting cast thru player 6 or 7, but mostly just warm bodies after that

Hoks must have been reading too many eastern Iowa papers. They were getting a little punky when they realized they were going back to scooterville.

Troublesome that ISU is losing one player away from being a .500 team. Now that Jefferson and Lipsey are gone they are in trouble.
