Big 10 looking like the best basketball conference and best football conference now

Iowa pulled one major upset, credit to them. They then got to play a conference opponent they’d already beaten. Meh. Michigan State hasn’t played anyone better than Iowa State has and could lose tomorrow. UCLA barely beat the dregs of the Big 12. Michigan either gets a 6 seed or Iowa State without its All American to go to the Final Four. Illinois has been darn impressive, and two of the Final Four would be as well. But these things are hard to say definitively

lol, idk really...I just know games that are low scoring, physical, lots of fouls/out of bounds/whistles/etc. get called rock fights and slogs so I guess I just used them interchangeably there.
Well, we can agree on this; Iowa needs to play in low scoring affairs, but to me that’s generally the definition of a rock fight

Bad matchups happen. ISU wants nothing to do with teams that don’t panic when trapped, pass well out of trouble, and hit a high percentage of 3s… so, as bad as it sounds, hope MI wins tomorrow night because that’s Alabama.
Amen. Records are sometimes fool's gold. It comes down to matchups and officiating.

I didn't watch a lot of Tennessee this season so idk, but if they have a propensity to turn the ball over and the refs swallow their whistles when ISU pressures/traps... the Cyclones should have a good game.

True. And you know how ESPN already acts towards that conference, it'll be even more of a biased suckfest...but...

It all comes down to who wins the title, that is ultimately the final judgement of the conference's tourney success. And the eye test is making it hard for me to see one of these teams taking down Arizona with how they're playing.
To me the best conference is the one that has the most teams advancing the farthest.
For example, if UConn or St John’s win the title, it doesn’t mean the Big East is the best. The rest of their teams have been trash all year.

It's wild seeing so many Hawk fans show up here after their win. What a pathetic fanbase. Just show up for your actual team all year like a real fanbase.

Oh no, the dreaded pathetic fan base comment. What are there like three Iowa fans in here. One of them… Me, spent way more time watching Women’s Basketball this year than I did men’s. And of the teams, I watched Iowa State was the most.

Eh, they don't have a guy to run the show. Flemings is a scorer that doesn't really facilitate and Uzan and Sharp are great complimentary pieces but struggle to get their own.

Kelvin needed to win it last year if he was going to
They’ve never run too much offensively. Shead was a terrific playmaker. Even then Sampson would say offense begins when someone puts the ball on the rim. Uzan and Flemings are plenty as two good combo guards. Sampson has never been a good half court offense guy. Then their bigs don’t provide enough offensively.

Arizona really is on a different level than rest of field. That Big 12 semifinal with us and them may as well have been for the natty when we were at full strength.

Had the Jefferson injury not happened, Arizona and Iowa State making runs would’ve been the easiest bet ever. Everyone watched it with their own eyes in Kansas City, and that includes neutrals
