Iowa outplayed Florida... Who cares if it gets said? At the end of the day we skull ****** a blue blood without an all American in a stand alone game to go to our 3 sweet 16 in 5 years... you CAN NOT buy that kind of exposure for a program like Iowa State.
They accomplished something that's only been done 7 other times.
Good for them... you know who didn't have to do that? Us because we were a God damn top 3 seed for the 3rd straight season.
I know it doesn’t fit the narrative you’re going for here, but from what I’ve seen from the announcers and people that reported on the game… That has been vetted out & your opinion would be that of a typical rival fan and that’s it.
I actually never even saw much of the game live, I watched about three minutes of it. That’s the best way to watch a game lol. Nowadays, you can find a replay of it almost immediately.

So here’s something I’m surprised grown adults don’t understand, but I’ve mentioned it to a lot of fan bases overtime and they don’t generally like it, but it’s true all the same.., if you’re wondering around saying these kind of things out loud and throwing a fit, all that does is make your rival think they’re in your head. I would never ever give anyone the satisfaction of throwing a hissy fit & making excuses as to why a hated rival did this or that….
The Squawks have the ability to really muck it up on offense, slow paced as hell, draining down the clock and scoring in the last 5 seconds. Have to give them a little credit, Florida had been a hot team, but EIU made them play their game, and hit a big 3 pointer to win it in the end. They have to be thinking they can beat Nebraska and get to the elite 8.
He is one of those goofy ass mother ******* that Fran would've loved to have. Mostly has underachieved all season until tonight.

If I just heard the TV correctly, I think they said Iowa v Nebraska is just the 2nd Sweet 16 matchup between two B1G teams.
Its a winnable game but nobody is giving Nebraska credit.
Alabama is in the Sweet Sixteen for 4th straight tournament and the 13th time overall. They are 3-9 in the Sweet Sixteen. They defeated BYU in the 2025 Sweet Sixteen and have won their last 2 Sweet Sixteen games. Alabama is 1-2 as a #4 seed in the Sweet Sixteen.
