There's a realistic chance Florida will make it 6.Purdue scored 104. That ties the most teams that scored 100+ in the same round with 5. 1988 Round of 32 also had 5 teams score 100.

THANK YOU !You're not f*cking serious right? Tim Floyd coached talented teams in a style that fit well in the mid-90s era. He finished 2nd in the Big 8, won a conference tourney title, had his 3rd squad ranked in the Top 5, was 1 stupid play away from the Elite 8, and brought in several legit recruiting classes - before getting snagged by the biggest coaching opportunities in sports. To put his name anywhere NEAR this year's suckeye team or program - in literally any way - is one of the most stupid BS things I've read on CF for years. Goddamn, my blood is boiling thinking how stupid that is.
I'll give iowa leadership credit; they exist in a bloated conference where half of the teams absolutely suck at basketball and have shown absolutely no ability to improve their standing nationally. Year in and year out. They had a program that could win 20-25 games nearly every season and somehow be perpetually mediocre and unimportant in the grand scheme of college basketball. So they fire that guy, hire a coach that would immediately bring the most experience in the country, generate a tiny turd splatter of excitement for their fanbase for like 17 seconds, proceed to do exactly what their prior coach did, and cement themselves as a - you guessed it - a perpetually mediocre program still. And magically somehow remain just as douchy and unlikeable!
They do not have talent. And they certainly do not have a "hell of a coach". I cannot believe I even have to type that out. They have proven literally nothing this season. Tonight's result was the bare minimum expectation. They do have leadership that understands how easy it is to get into the NCAA tourney just by being halfway competent. Literally just don't "suck" in the Big 10 and you're in! And oh then get matched up against a truly incompetent and injured team - perfect! Contraction extension baby.
@HoopsTournament has this ever happened before?

If Iowa wins, then all #9 seeds will advance to Round of 32. That has happened five times: 1989, 1994, 1999, 2001, 2019.
#10 won all over #7 in 1999 and #11 won all over #6 in 1989.
They need to increase the pace. There's a realistic chance Florida will make it 6.

They don't have talent and they don't have a hell of coach. How did they win? You sound absolutely ******* ridiculous and stupid. He took a no talent pathetic program to a 20 win season and now the 2nd round. Get over the butthurt dude. He's done everything TJ did in his first year. You're not f*cking serious right?
