***Official 2026 NCAA Tournament Thread***

Well, I hate to say it, but I think McCollum may be the real deal. Neither Sage nor Koch really look like freshmen out there in an Elite Eight game. Iowa got another highly sought-after freshman that actually redshirted because he was Class of '26, but reclassified to practice with a D-1 team for the year.

I wonder if there's any chance he goes to UNC or Kansas, if Self retires.

If they lose him to UNC, Beth follows Barta out the door.

McCollum says he's not going anywhere.

It’s a good reminder that if you have good ball handling and decision making you can dictate your slow pace. They require you to defend a full shot clock and they have guys that can shoot.
This. They don’t take early forced shots and make you defend the entire half court. Also Helps to have a couple bigs/forwards that can hit threes.

Well unless Illinois decides to wake up and stop cramming a square peg into a round hole then Iowa is going to Indianapolis with a real shot.
