Iowa is in the Elite Eight for the first time since 1987 and the 5th time overall. They are 3-1 in the Elite Eight. Their last Elite Eight win was in 1980 vs Georgetown. This is Iowa’s first Elite Eight as a #9 seed.

This whole tournament has been an Iowa fan wet dream. I won't watch another second if we lose tomorrow
Can't wait for houston to knock them back into reality
Just didn't seem to take much effort against NE to play "great ball"
Looked comfortable all night. Shooters were wide open, but importantly they knocked them down.
Nothing will surprise me anymore. I’m just bracing for the Illini upset of Houston tonight then Iowa beating the Illini Saturday.
Iowa walks into the elite by two of the most bone headed full court defenses I have seen in history
Neither of those two teams deserves to be in the elite 8.
At this point we need to start rooting for them. The second we all get on this bandwagon they will lose. For the greater good.
