The humidity these last few days has been miserable. Going to be a hot, humid summer with all the rain we've been getting lately. Low humidity has been about the only pleasant thing to come out of the droughty conditions the past couple years.
Man, pouring here just west of Mpls. Torrent of rain. Side garden on hill is just washing away and the driveway is a river of water. Once it stops drive will be mostly mud covered.

One of the most photogenic tornadoes ever on multiple streams right now.
Was watching this one and it's forecast hail on the radar. Was supposed to hit my burb at 7:10 but ended up tracked south of me. Did a happy dance.
Got another .3" last night. That's 1.7" in the past 2 days out in Waukee. I'll take it.

If you think about how strong the updrafts have to be to carry these bad boys up into the freezing levels multiple times to make them that big … that’s a stupendous amount of energy in those storms.
We're all going to die map for the rest of the month.

ISU farmer buddy texted me images of the standing water in his Wright County fields. Bit TOO much for his acreage.
If we needed rain, what we are getting now would be tremendous. The rain could have waited a week? Oh well. We won’t get all the weeds killed when we spray because they will be to big, so if you want to walk beans pin 30 days let me know
And parts of northern Kossuth county and into southern Minnesota had 5-7”the 14th to the 16th. And add hail last week, a lot of fields are a mess. The Des Moines River will have plenty of water in it for a couple weeks.
