***Official 2025 Weather Thread***

Nah, it can be snowy and cold but it’s not January. Not gonna have sub zero lows, and still gonna get above freezing on some days. Plus daylight until after 7:30 after the 8th.
Daylight is the big one for me. I like the snow, don't mind the cold. The lack of daylight hours after work gets depressing.

Yeah just looked at next weeks forecast. Didn't know temps were suppose to be that low for that many days. :puke:

yeah, usually don't mind feb snows as much because at least its a bit warmer and stuff melts off a bit on the roads\driveway. We're getting january cold.

Pretty decent snow rate right now in Waukee. Flakes seem to have gotten bigger as well.
Had to go to an appointment around 8:30am. Drove Hwy 6 between Adel/Waukee. Really wasn't bad at all. One lane each way completely clear. I put it in 4H in town because the roads were packed. Otherwise, I drove 60mph+ the whole way.

OK so wife and I are flying out of DSM down the Fort Myers Florida Saturday early afternoon with some family. Family now wants to change to Friday morning 7am flight instead. If there isn't much of a problem Saturday flying out would be my preference because I have to much work to do to miss all of Friday. Other than the "you're getting out of the cold so switch to Friday" opinions, is there any reason I should think Saturday afternoon flights might be an issue? App on my phone says high of 26 and 1" of snow currently....altho same app said 4" of snow for last night into today and we have more than that now with more to come it sounds like. Thanks for the answers

This thread is a mix of crying bust the moment snow is forecasted, memories of walking to school in a foot of snow uphill both ways when we were kids, and penis jokes.

Not enough penis jokes honestly.
